In 2014, the dreams of our own ASRA Intervention, Recreation and Therapy Centre (AIRTC) for children with special needs started to take shape.
Our aim to combine the AIRTC with the ARTC led to the new and wonderful building at Uttam Nagar. AIRTC was inaugurated to be able to offer quality and comprehensive rehabilitation to children with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays living in the slums and marginalised localities of the city.
The centre provides a platform for children with special needs and simultaneously caters to economically underprivileged children. Initially, AIRTC catered to the individual needs of 30 children coming from ASRA’s adopted community and surrounding areas, ages ranging from 4-10 years. AIRTC programs focus on the overall development of the child depending on needs as well as potential.
Timings for AIRTC differ from 9:30 am to 1 pm from Monday to Friday.
ASRA provides procedural guidance & applies online (in Special Cases)
for availing Govt. facilities for PwDs. such as UDID, disability certificate & disability pension, railway concession and bus pass etc.
